The project partnership is led by the Gruppe Kinderbetreuung [Childcare Team] of the Directorate for Education and Society of the Office of the Government of Upper Austria. The task of the Childcare Team is to create the right conditions for high-quality childcare in Upper Austria to meet the region's needs. Its core competency is quality assurance in childcare facilities, for example by providing specialist support for staff in childcare facilities on legal and educational issues, or by providing a broad and high-quality range of professional development courses for staff in childcare facilities. On the subject of language acquisition, the project can draw on experience from the "English in nurseries" project and findings from the implementation of the packages of measures developed by the Childcare Team for early language development.
