Středisko služeb školám a Zařízení pro další vzdělávání pedagogických pracovníků Brno, příspěvková organizace (hereinafter Středisko služeb školám Brno) is an organisation set up by the South Moravian Region. Its main purpose is to provide services and professional development for school teachers and school institutions in South Moravia.

Středisko služeb školám Brno has been implementing projects supported by the EU since 2006.

Four projects were implemented during the last project period under the European Territorial Cooperation programme Austria - Czech Republic 2007–2013 and 13 projects as part of the "Training for competitiveness" programme. Středisko služeb školám Brno has implemented 17 projects supported by the EU (more at http://www.sssbrno.cz/?go=projekty). Experience from projects on the ETZ AT-CZ 2007–2013 programme can be drawn on in project implementation: Intercultural education for children and adults (IB-KE): the aim of the project was to strengthen cooperation between nurseries; foreign language teaching in nurseries; the development of teacher and support staff training; the exchange of scientific and academic insights into pre-school education; and the production of teaching material. Intercultural education for (school)children and teachers (IB-KSP): the aim of the project was to improve the quality of foreign language teaching in nurseries; to increase German teaching in primary schools; German lessons for teachers and parents; partnerships; study visits for lecturers in Austria; support for placements in nurseries, professional development for teachers; and the production of teaching material.
